Bay Auto Wholesale was founded in 1986 and for the last several years
has been the #1 highest volume single location independent dealer in the Hampton Roads area. There are many months Bay Auto sells over 100 cars
to customers from Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina. The Bay Auto Team contributes a great deal of their success to their unrelenting strive for 100% customer satisfaction
from their 20 plus employees. Bay Auto was the first independent dealer in the area to insist that all first time buyers and lower ranking military
try and obtain credit union financing. This benefit to their customers is now known throughout the community because a lot of their first time customers
have now become 2nd and 3rd time buyers coming back to Bay Auto Wholesale. In addition to their customer satisfaction, Bay Auto has contributed, over
the years, tens of thousands of dollars to the USS Iowa Relief Fund, USS Cole Relief Fund, sponsored MWR events, the Navy League,
USO, the Military Citizen of the Year Award Program, the Virginia Beach Sailor of the Year Program, and Flagship Military Appreciation
Night at Tides Harbor Park. Bay Auto’s generosity has been noted in the annual reports of the Navy-Marine Corps. Relief Society recognition of Major Sponsors.

Jeff Fink
- Vice President
Jeff has been with Bay Auto for over 10 years. Jeff is an alumnus of Ambridge High School in Pennsylvania and Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond Kentucky where he played football.
Jeff has a deep background in the automotive industry, which includes managing some of the areas largest new car sales departments. Jeff attended General Motors Training Schools in Sales and Finance and brings that expertise to us. Jeff is the wholesale Buyer for the company and through his many wholesale outlets, brings our customers the best inventory in our industry. Jeff, his wife, Kathy, and daughter, Corie, make their home in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Mike Ortiz

General Manager
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Mike moved to
New Jersey in the mid-1970s. A graduate of
Vineland High School, Mike Ortiz played
football, baseball, and wrestling. He enlisted
in the U.S. Navy in 1982. Mike was stationed
on several ships in Norfolk, VA and one in
Charleston, SC. In 1990, he received the state
of South Carolina’s Distinguished Volunteer
Award (the only individual recipient of that
year). Mike Ortiz also received a navy
Achievement for Community Service. He also
received several Letters of Commendation,
including one for being a Volunteer Counselor
in Charleston’s “Operation Shipmate”, a Navy
Program for inner city youth needing mentors.
Mike also served as Navy Color Guard for 2
years. He came to Bay Auto in 1997 as a Sales
Professional and was Sales Associate of the
Year in 1997, 1998, and 1999. He was promoted
to General Manager in 2000.

Since he’s been the General Manager, Mike and
his team of professionals have shattered all
records. He firmly believes in complete
Customer Satisfaction, and personally strives
to ensure all Bay Auto customers’ buying
experience is excellent. Mike Ortiz and family
still personally contributes thousands of
dollars in new toys for various youth
fellowship causes in the Hampton Roads
Community every Christmas. Mike and his wife,
Mary, have been married for 15 years and have
four children and make their home in Suffolk. |
